Tag any user on the site, say something you believe about them that is nice, and I'll pay you M25.

If you're tagged and appreciate the comment, consider saying something nice about somebody else or adding to the bounty. But don't feel socially obligated - you can also just like their comment and do nothing. Relax.

You can say multiple nice things about multiple people, but second and later bounties are on a lower priority. So you may not get paid if we run out of bounty money. okay we have enough money, so multiple entries allowed.

@Mira what a great market! Lovely to see this as the first thing upon logging into manifold (average reader won't know what this means, but Mira will). So many great people around here, lots to say so i'm gonna split it into individual comments. Oh I love the idea though. We all compete against each other a ton and its such an awesome idea to have a market for positivity and sharing what we all appreciate in each other. Very thoughtful, as Mira always is

@egroj is great if you’re into cycling or sports generally. Fair, clear, and always civil.

@parhizj has the best commentary on everything weather and climate related.

It's the end of the year and it's time for reflection, especially since I've been wrapping up my Manifold affairs. So here's some thanks to the people who've made my time here even more enjoyable than it otherwise would have been:

@firstuserhere, @NicoDelon, and @Joshua have been really nice to me and we've had many pleasant interactions;

@42irrationalist has been making consistently good predictions on the Ukraine war markets and I'm happy I'm leaving them in good hands;

@BTE adds a lot of flavour to the Manifold experience with his markets, comments and unique trading style, and I had so much fun with our diamond league competition;

@jack is just really impressive all around, I've always enjoyed reading his insightful comments;

@SirSalty is excellent at his job, I started out with the impression that he's not taking things very seriously but that has been thoroughly proven wrong and Manifold is very lucky to have him;

@SemioticRivalry is a really good trader and I quite enjoyed competing with him when I was still doing news trading. We also had a couple of tense Master league competitions along with @jacksonpolack (who is also an amazing trader and if someone wants to become better at that, they should study what he does);

@Conflux made a great podcast and I had this plan for a while that if I hit my betting limits on a market, I'd give all the info to him instead of posting it in a comment (never found myself in that situation, though);

@chrisjbillington is a very impressive forecaster and I had fun betting against him on the SpaceX markets. I didn't have much respect for market prices at the time because the Ukraine markets had been quite mispriced ever since I joined, so I started to bet bunch of mana with little research just to check whether it will be good enough. Chris showed me that nope, people here are actually competent, and I need to do better. @Mqrius also deserves credit here.

I also spent lots and lots of time live betting on sports and I had a great time doing it, so thank you to all the market creators who made this possible - @FranklinBaldo, @UniversalFC, @Eliza, @egroj, @KevinBurke, @MaggieDelano, @RJPerez and many others (FUH as well, of course, but I already tagged you elsewhere :D).

Of course, live betting is most fun when there are other people betting with you, so thanks to @ChristopherRandles and @ZicoVerona for always keeping me on my toes on the soccer markets. I also had some thrilling live betting battles with @AlexLiesman when I was starting out and I missed him later on when he became inactive.

This is far from an exhaustive list, there are many awesome people that I haven't mentioned here. I haven't been active for a while now but I'm still reading Discord because of the community, y'all are great! Thanks again, I've had the best time.

Thanks @Tumbles for supporting Manifold on the hellsite known as reddit and being a great member of our community

@ithaca you're the only bot that I can't fully figure out your strategies and just pinning a big target on your back

@chrisjbillington for making the rules of Manifold fairer for everyone

@Conflux for granting me mana for chooterbot, being excellent to newbies, and for recording the best Manifold entertainment podcast

@EvanDaniel for your cool probability ideas that I may or may create a bot for in the future, and your great insights on prediction markets

@EmilyThomas for your excellent and well-documented efforts on Sudoku

@EmmettShear for being part of the OpenAI markets that really got me into working on my bot

@barak for leading the politics experiment that will benefit everyone, and listening to the community's ideas

@firstuserhere for your funny and great markets, and overestimating your own walking skills 😂

@Domer for being the best trader on the site and attempting to contact OpenAI to resolve markets

@Eliza for having the rarest badge here for good reason

@evergreenemily (goodbye) for creating the best markets and answering questions

@tfae for believing in my bot

@Gen I'm glad Genzy works at Manifold! They've been a great person to interact with as a small fish on the website. The grants don't hurt either

@strutheo makes cool markets, and I was betting in them before it was cool (it will, in fact, be cool)

@IsaacKing participates in all sorts of cool ways, articles and other projects. Really cool passionate person

@Mira shines their light upon all of us, blessing us with their divine intelligence. Though Mira portends Manifold's doom, I pray the good users of this website find grace as doting pets upon Mira's great ascendency

@Panfilo The whale slayer. The minnow on a mission. Panfilo IS THAT GUY. And they leave helpful comments to help Manifold be more accurate

@Joshua What a positive and enjoyable community figure! People like this are essential to Manifold as a cultural space

@Tripping Went out on a limb and gave me my first loan. A big one! They didn't even specify terms! So so nice of them, just went out on a limb for a fellow melee player

@Conflux Conflux had some mana. Their reaction to having this mana was to set up a grant program for new motivated users. That's so cool!!

@Eliza Is always so so helpful in the discord any time someone has questions or technical problems

What is this?

What is Manifold?
Manifold is the world's largest social prediction market.
Get accurate real-time odds on politics, tech, sports, and more.
Or create your own play-money betting market on any question you care about.
Are our predictions accurate?
Yes! Manifold is very well calibrated, with forecasts on average within 4 percentage points of the true probability. Our probabilities are created by users buying and selling shares of a market.
In the 2022 US midterm elections, we outperformed all other prediction market platforms and were in line with FiveThirtyEight’s performance. Many people who don't like betting still use Manifold to get reliable news.
ṀWhy use play money?
Mana (Ṁ) is the play-money currency used to bet on Manifold. It cannot be converted to cash. All users start with Ṁ1,000 for free.
Play money means it's much easier for anyone anywhere in the world to get started and try out forecasting without any risk. It also means there's more freedom to create and bet on any type of question.
