In the context of the Israel-Hamas conflict, 28 people, including 22 Brazilians and 6 Palestinians with residency in Brazil, are currently taking shelter in Rafah and Khan Yunis in Gaza, awaiting authorization to cross the Gaza-Egypt border. An aircraft from the Presidency of the Republic – with a capacity for 40 people – is waiting in Cairo, the Egyptian capital, to make the return trip to Brazil. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there is still no forecast for the return of these families.
