THEY ARE COMING. Drugged-up, horny, zombie cicadas with the clap. How bad will it get?
I will not participate, and I will judge the best fears after this closes in two weeks. The key is not what is likely, but what we should be afraid of. Humorous answers are more likely to win. Feel free to add your own responses. Make me afraid.

According to Bing AI:
"
Sword Dance Baton Pass strategies involve using the move Sword Dance to significantly boost a Pokémon’s Attack stat and then using Baton Pass to transfer those increased stats to another Pokémon. This allows a player to safely increase a Pokémon’s offensive capabilities and then switch to a more suitable attacker without losing the stat boosts.

@Najawin what is the causal link to the cicadas?
@TheAllMemeingEye Ninjask was the OG swords dance/baton pass pokemon, because its ability was speed boost, also increasing its speed every turn passively, meaning that when you baton pass'd you'd give attack boosts + speed boosts. Ninjask is a cicada pokemon.
@Najawin Ah, fun! I tried this with Gemini. If you ask it about swords dance / baton pass having anything to do with cicadas, it says there's no connection, just giving you a definition. But if you then ask it for the pokemon most associated with the strategy, and ask it what animal Ninjask was based off of, and then ask it the question again, it will get the right answer and correct itself.
I am surprised at how well “Nothing” is doing when I am clearly looking for something to fear, preferably with a humorous twist. I specifically said this is not about what is likely, but about fears.
In addition to “the wisdom of crowds,” I think humor can also work best in a collaborative manner. Together, we can be funnier than any one of us could be. To use a volleyball analogy, I’ve set the ball and I know some of you sickos can spike it to win the point.
@TrickyDuck we should use the odds of the nothing option to determine a market about whether Manifold has a sense of humour lol
@Najawin my apologies, where might I know you from? I don't think I know anyone called Naja, though maybe you were referencing the German phrase "na ja" (well)?
@TheAllMemeingEye Mostly humor, but something really dark could be funny in an inappropriate way. Think outside the box and surprise/impress me.
