Context: According to Rotten Tomatoes, the New York Times gave "Godzilla vs. Kong" (2021) a positive review:
It isn't pretty, and it doesn't mean much, but "Godzilla vs. Kong" turns its limitations into virtues and makes stupidity into its own kind of ingenuity.
A.O. Scott has since stepped back from his role as film critic. Will whoever reviews GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE be similarly generous?
Resolution details:
Rotten Tomatoes will be the source to determine whether the review is positive, as well as what qualifies as a "review by the New York Times": https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/godzilla_x_kong_the_new_empire
I will resolve the market once the first review from the NYT has been logged on Rotten Tomatoes. If the review is positive (i.e. red tomato), this market resolves YES. If the review is negative (i.e. green splat), it resolves NO.
If no review has been posted as of two weeks after release (April 12th), this market resolves NO, as the NYT has not written a positive review (I believe this is extremely unlikely).
