Resolved
NO

I'll resolve to my own subjective assessment at the end of the year. 'Xeeting' subjectively needs to feel like it's at least one of the top 3 ways people refer to the activity currently known as 'tweeting' for me to resolve YES.

I find it problematic that the creator of this market is so heavily invested in yes.

resolution - no one says xeeting

On market close, will you please post your top 3 terms?

I think it'll stay tweeting, maybe with a few people calling it xeeting or skeeting.

predictedNO

@ImperishableNeet “Skeeting” is already taken by lil’ Jon

If most people stop calling it tweeting but call it xeeting with a sense of ironic mockery, will that count as yes? Because I'm going to call it xeeting for the lols.

They should have named it y and then we could talk about yeeting our opinions all over the internet

Could be called "Striking" and when someone receives it, than they've received a "Struck"
This would be inline with the 𝕏 being a "double struck capital X"

But it does sound dumb lol

Xi-Jing? As in Xi Jinping?

It is "The Everything App"

"You send me a TEABAG" or "Hey, TEABAG me" or "Can I slide into your TEABAG"

I was about to bet NO until I saw the stipulation about “top 3”.

What are the second and third most popular ways at the moment?

It seems like Tweeting will still be what it’s called until the end of the year, but an argument could be made that something which only half a dozen people say could be a distant, distant 2nd!

predictedYES

@SimonGrayson If only a dozen people say it, this will resolve no. The criteria is "at least three" not necessarily including all top 3, if the other variants have negligible use. (I do suspect that there will be multiple alternative words for "tweet" in use at the end of the year since it takes time for people to adopt a new standard.)

@SimonGrayson I sometimes say "posting" or "commenting" when I mean "tweeting". This might be 2 and 3.

predictedNO

@tailcalled I have heard, disparagingly, “Twatter” and “Twatted”.

What were the top three ways prior to the switch?

hard to pronounce
