Japan has been preparing to release water from the nuclear plants in Fukushima, which were destroyed by a tsunami in 2011.

Progress has been made, as the IAEA gave the green light to the release in July [1]. Discussions with Seoul have also shown some progress . However, the Korean public remains dissatisfied [2]. Additionally, China is of course opposed to this plan.

Tokyo is now planning to start releasing the water by early September [3].

Do you think it's possible? I will resolve this as YES if Tokyo actually start releasing the water before the market closes. No otherwise.

Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said Friday he will visit Fukushima Prefecture on Sunday as Japan prepares to release treated radioactive water from a crippled nuclear plant into the sea amid opposition from local fishermen and some neighboring countries.
