The United Kingdom local elections are approaching on the 2nd of May 2024. 107 local councils (not including the London Assembly) have elections. How many will have a majority of Green Party councillors after the elections?
By my calculations there are no Green councils at present. Despite some councils being elected in thirds, no councils are guaranteed Green control after the election. Conversely, if the Green party stood candidates in all seats and won them all, it could only win 31 councils.
This will resolve after all the election results are published and tabulated to the number of councils with a majority of councillors that belong to the Green party.
My calculations may not be 100% accurate, as I have not accounted for byelections or defections. If there is a landslide and the actual result is outside of the range specified, I'll resolve to the boundary.

@traders The final results have come in. The Greens started off with 0 councils, and they ended up with 0 as well - although they gained quite a few councillors it wasn't enough to take control of any councils. This resolves to 0-3.
