TCG-Con is a trading card gaming convention series that has been running tournaments and then not paying out their advertised prizes nor the people they hired to run those events. I wrote up a report on their behavior and warned people away from their future conventions. They didn't like this, and threatened to sue me.
If they do in fact sue me, this resolves YES if they win the case, or we settle out of court for any settlement that adversely affects me in a significant way (having to pay $100+, take down the post, etc.). This resolves NO if the case goes to court and they lose, or the case is dismissed. Resolves N/A if no lawsuit is forthcoming.
For the chance that they do in fact sue me, see /IsaacKing/will-tcgcon-actually-sue-me
Very tasty drama, thanks
You should make a market on of they pay their lawyers if they sue you lol
Why on earth would somebody struggling financially use sex workers as temps, instead of calling the nearest, y'know, temp agency, or any of the dozen more sane options? Or doing the good old tickets-for-work scheme?
What's the point of that whole thing? Running cons is famously a money pit under most circumstances, is this some experiment in annoying people?
Have they considered offering an extra hour in the ball pit in lieu of payment?
