We probably have a long dragout argument where sliver of world population carries on with “look here is AGI” and “No it isn’t” while the remainder doesn’t care or isn’t following or assumed it’s already here, because when you call customer service you can never get through to a real person, just an AGI,

@ClubmasterTransparent Honestly if an answering machine could act as intelligent agent - it would be a huge step up for the current state of customer service. Most customer service reps seem to refuse to do so despite being actual humans.

@ClubmasterTransparent Yup. This should to link to another poll asking "What is AGI, anyways?" and use whatever floats to the top of that poll as it's definition. Or the market maker needed to have specified what AGI means to them via link or description.

@DanHomerick what AGI is is pretty well understood, although defining it exactly is very difficult. Luckily it's just a poll so we don't have to worry about precise definitions - any somewhat reasonable definition (that's based on the standard meaning of the term) will do.

@ProjectVictory Vast majority of contact center reps operate under strictly defined and narrow parameters. If they deviate they get dinged after a couple dings they are sacked. Often they have to read from actual scripts. If they don’t have a script for your situation they’re stuck. Their KPIs are things like “handle time per call” and “adherence to scheduled breaks” measured in seconds.

@jim Among what audience is it commonly understood “what is AGI”?
