The last time we ran this game, it didn't go so well. However, @bens gave me another starting seed out of the blue.

I can't just not follow up on that. I can't leave that on my conscience. That would be shameful of me.
@bens is the 0th Manifolder in this chain. I am the 1st. The same Manifolder cannot be in the chain more than once.
A new Manifolder is added to the chain when the last Manifolder in the chain managrams another user with a memo that contains and starts with the phrase "double it and pass it on" (non-case sensitive). I may make good-faith exceptions to this memo rule at my discretion.
The managram needs at least double the mana they had received.
Additionally, their managram needs to be made within 48 hours, down to the second, of them receiving their initiating managram to count. 48:00:00 after counts. 48:00:01 does not.
Only the 1st valid managram sent by a user counts. Sending multiple to the same or different users will not count the 2nd attempt and beyond.
Market resolves to how many Manifolders successfully "doubled it and passed it on" with valid managrams. (This is not how many Manifolders are in the chain -- the starting seed doesn't count.) Only one market answer will resolve YES. The rest, NO.
Shame upon the Manifolder who breaks the chain. That, or shame may be brought upon the Manifolder who sends their managram payload to an inactive or distrustful user.
I cannot trade on this market.

@calour is next in the chain. The count is now 8. If the chain shamefully breaks here, "8" resolves YES. The rest, NO. The minimum for the next managram is 8,192 mana.

@Robincvgr @calour Part of me was wondering what would have to happen if the managram was accidentally sent to the capital-C Calour by accident. π
@Quroe @Robincvgr could have sent me the mana once the mistake was noticed, and I control the Calour account and would have sent the mana back.
@calour Oh, no, no, no. If it went to the capital-C account, the rules mandate that I would have to count that as the one true valid managram and add capital-C Calour to the chain.
@snazzlePop dangerous! who says I have any shame? I may be trustworthy but trust in this game is that someone will eventually break the chain. would it be me? π
@Nat This valid managram was sent at Oct 11, 2025, 1:00:45 AM EST.
@Robincvgr, the HERO, is next in the chain. The count is now 7. If the chain shamefully breaks here, "7" resolves YES. The rest, NO. The minimum for the next managram is 4,096 mana.
Futarchy time! https://manifold.markets/Jasonb/who-should-i-send-1k-mana-to-combin
Who should we send the mana to???
@Jasonb I'm wondering if I should make a market on if anybody will "double it and pass it on" with less time left on the clock than you.
@Jasonb Behold! The point!
Also, do we want to see what a traditional N/A-type Futarchy would function like? Does anybody want to put their name on such a market? (It's for science!)
@Jasonb Hm... We might as well go all the way with the time market. We could actually make a market asking if somebody will "double it and pass it on" with less than 10 seconds left.
Then again, surely this just rewards people who can do automation techno wizardry. Thoughts?
@Quroe That sounds more fun, high risk to balance out the reward. Given only those sent the mana can try, it seems fine if they happen to be a techno wiz (as oppose to a competition where everyone could try that would end up directly selecting for techno wizzes to win).
