YES
Samsung announces Google's Gemini on S24: https://youtu.be/WjUCqhlzTAY?si=-Kubtldl0wV8HrDJ

Includes pre-installed apps, physical buttons that by default open or activate some LLM, or other LLM interaction features enabled by default. Software updates to already released devices do not count.

Resolves YES if:

  • Before January 1, 2025: a major smartphone manufacturer (e.g. Samsung, Apple, Google, OnePlus, Nothing, Huawei, etc.) releases a new device that ships with some form of LLM interaction enabled by default. This includes a smart assistant powered by an LLM, an LLM chat, or multimodal LLM app. "Releases" means that it is available for purchase by the public. Announcements alone do not count.

Resolves NO otherwise.

@traders I believe this resolves YES with the release of the S24 on Jan 31, which includes Gemini Nano on-device. I have closed the market and will resolve by the end of the day today unless there are compelling arguments against YES.
