We don't know what store and I'm not sure if it matters, but for the few I've checked, the eggs are on special for $5.89, or $5.30 with Prime membership, until Jan 2nd. So unless specials don't count, or unless some other store is different and the one the creator had in mind, it looks like the price of the eggs will not be higher than $6.49 on Jan 1st.
