Putin tried for a while to kill Zelenskiy, but by now Putin seems to consider him as martyr even more trouble - esp. as the next president would hate Putin just the same. And rightly so. - Zelenskiy losing any election in the next few years: chance zero. And not just because there can be no election during full-out war and constant bombing of Ukrainian cities - even written in the constitution.
