On August 1st, DoE rules are slated to come into effect prohibiting retailers from selling incandescent lightbulbs to consumers. There are some small exceptions to those rules, but for this to resolve to "yes", the rules would need to be relaxed/rolled back/delayed to the extent that after August 1st a consumer in the US is legally allowed to purchase a 100 W incandescent bulb without any special exceptions (e.g. being an American Indian on tribal land, relaxed one-time rule to allow selling of excess stock, natural disaster exemptions, etc.).

@Gen yeah i'm a bit confused by this one. i don't think it's that impossible to find an incandescent bulb, but the description says:
> "There are some small exceptions to those rules, but for this to resolve to "yes", the rules would need to be relaxed/rolled back/delayed to the extent that after August 1st"
And I don't remember them actually recalling/removing that rule from Biden?
@Gen yes i bought one multiple times this month lol, its legal to sell just not produce new ones after a certain date
@Gen its certainly not ILLEGAL so this should NA then, its way past the date so just resolve it however you think best
@strutheo yeah based on the title it seems like YES but from the description it seems like the creator considered that August 1st rule to be a ban, and was specifically looking for "will this law be repealed/etc". i'm always ok with N/A for poorly phrased old questions
@strutheo Thank you for solving that
@Ziddletwix too
If anyone thinks they can make a compelling case for why N/A is actually wrong and we missed something, post the argument and I will personally cover the damages and send you your winnings
@Fion Correct, no normal routes to resolving NO. It would still be reasonable to bet NO if you think it's unlikelier than the the current percentage, and then if it changes enough, sell for profit.
