The US Consumer Product Safety Commission is reportedly considering a proposal to ban gas stoves, "amid rising concern about harmful indoor air pollutants emitted by the appliances". Will they release such a proposal by 2025?
The proposed ban does not have to go into effect, it merely has to be proposed by the agency through their official process. A proposal that would not ban gas stoves, but merely regulate them (such as requiring ventilation) would not count.
