The Guardian published a report that a pigeon was held in detention for eight months on suspicion of spying for the Chinese government. (The pigeon was innocent.)

This is after the Chinese spy balloon was discovered above the US last year.
This question will resolve when a reputable news source (determined by me) reports that a government took redress against a non-human object (bird, balloon, Dennis Rodman, etc) it suspected of being a device for Chinese spying. The device does not need to actually be a piece of spy equipment for this to resolve.
Examples of action would be destroying the object, detaining the object, creating a diplomatic event between the country and China, etc.
