@AdamBraff I took the disclaiming part to be the "haha, just kidding" which normally comes after jokes. So I would say yes, he jokingly expressed intent.
@JaredAsh I think there is a difference between 'obviously a joke' and actually being a joke. The first is an excuse to say ridiculous things, the second is actual humor. I think this is the second thing. That said, I think this could go either way and I won't complain if it resolves yes.
