Evidence of an asteroid impact, such as an airburst or impact crater, must be observed or detected by scientific instruments and confirmed by experts in the field. Speculation or unverified reports of impact events will not count.

If an asteroid impact is confirmed to have occurred before December 31, 2050, the question will resolve as YES. If no such impact is confirmed by that date, the question will resolve as NO.
