@Eliza thank you for responding, after seeing your message I sort of investigated the situation a little, and now I guess this is, like, becoming a bug report: it seems that you can’t rename your markets while on an iPad in a horizontal screen mode. Well at least in this case of mine. Here is how it looks for me while the screen is a) vertical, b) horizontal:

So, yeah, that seems to be the situation…well, I’m on my way to renaming my markets now 🙂

@McLovin It's can also be weird when the length of the title is exactly the width of one line, and then the edit pencil appears on the next line.
