Pertussis, also known as "whooping cough" is a bacterial infection for which a vaccine is available.
In 2023, the US CDC reported 7,063 cases of pertussis. In 2024, they reported 35,435 cases. However, in 2025 they reported 28,783 cases and 2026 may see fewer cases than 2025.
Resolves YES on January 31st, 2028 if the CDC has reported more than 20,000 cases of pertussis for 2027. Otherwise the market resolves NO.
