Tokamak Energy, founded in 2009, is focused on developing affordable and competitive fusion energy using their two world-leading technologies: compact spherical tokamaks and High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) magnets.
The spherical tokamak, a more efficient alternative to the traditional doughnut-shaped plasma, offers the smallest and most cost-effective solution for fusion energy.
Tokamak Energy's roadmap includes completing the ST80-HTS in 2026, demonstrating the potential of HTS magnets in a high field spherical tokamak. This will inform the design of the fusion pilot plant, ST-E1, which aims to deliver electricity to the grid in the early 2030s, producing up to 200 MW of net electrical power.

@CharlesCarriere that make sense. The norm on Manifold is to have as little time between close and resolution as possible, in part because the short-term value of money is so huge because of compounding that people don't want their mana tied up unless absolutely necessary.
