@traders Creator appears inactive. Presumably this will need a mod resolve eventually. I extended the close date since the early close did not appear intentional.

My current clarifications, if I end up resolving as mod:

  • "Absent seizure" interpreted broadly -- anything where he's unresponsive but apparently awake / upright at a podium or otherwise on TV.

  • Removed -- not merely fails to get elected, not resigned, but removed by impeachment or other similar process.

Let me know if it needs to be resolved or extended again.

@AprilHeathman If that's wrong or you had some other interpretation in mind, please speak up!

@EvanDaniel So this is “Will Mitch McConnell have another absent seizure on live tv and be removed from office by 2027?” now?

@vitamind Well, I thought it always was that way (I'm not involved in the question). But it's entirely possible I got that wrong or that the question was ambiguous enough that it should be resolved N/A.

Originally, the question was created with a 1-month trading window and no clear specification of end date. I interpreted that close date as the default date, not something specified by the creator, and tried to make a guess at what was meant. "And be removed from office" seemed like a thing that would take a while, so one month due date for it to happen seemed unlikely to be the intent. (Not necessarily trying to say I'm right here, just saying what I was thinking at the time, as best I remember it.)

The new interpretation I proposed isn't just "by 2027", it's by whenever he leaves office -- if he sticks around longer and gets re-elected the close date would be extended again.

@vitamind I posted a thread in the moderators channel on discord, feel free to follow along or chime in if you wish: https://discord.com/channels/915138780216823849/1192133786561953882

@EvanDaniel That makes sense to me, thank you for explaining!

@AprilHeathman By when? By the market close date?

Can this resolve now? Should trading be extended?
