Resolution criteria

• Primary metric: The year-over-year growth multiplier in global AI inference token usage (measured either as total annual tokens processed or average monthly/daily tokens processed) from the full year 2029 to the full year 2030.

• Answer options:

  • less than 2x: Growth is less than a 2-fold increase (a multiplier of < 2.0x, i.e., < 100% growth).

  • 2x to 5x: Growth is at least 2.0x but less than 5.0x.

  • 5x to 10x: Growth is at least 5.0x but less than 10.0x.

  • More than 10x: Growth is 10.0x or greater.

• Sources of truth: This market will resolve based on reports published by prominent market intelligence firms, research organizations, or investment banks on or before December 31, 2031. The primary prioritized sources are:

  1. Epoch AI (epoch.ai)

  2. Goldman Sachs Research (such as updates to their "Agentic Economy" forecasts)

  3. Gartner or IDC

• Fallback rules:

  • If multiple prioritized sources provide conflicting growth statistics, the market will resolve to the average of their reported multipliers.

  • If no comprehensive annual figures are available but the sources provide representative monthly or daily average token usage comparisons for 2029 and 2030, that ratio will determine the multiplier.

  • If no reputable quantitative reports from the listed or equivalent institutions are available by the cutoff date, this market will resolve as N/A.
