@strutheo But seriously: as best I can tell, literally no states or districts publish write-in vote counts for "unofficial" write-ins. They just publish the total number. You cannot even get this data for one state from which you might form a sane estimate.

Biden got write-ins for NYC Mayor in 2021. As did Obama, both Clintons, and lots of other folks. And we have exact counts. But you can't get data for how many write-in votes anyone got in NY for President in 2024, and I don't expect that to change in 2028.

So far the actual best that I have found is that I can resolve as No numbers that exceed total write-in counts.
