YES if, by December 31, 2025, 11:59 PM PT, at least one social iOS app owned by OpenAI is installable from the U.S. iOS App Store.
“Installable” means the app has a live U.S. App Store product page with an active Get/price button for a U.S. Apple ID.
Does not count: Pre-Order, TestFlight, enterprise/internal distribution, web apps/PWAs, or availability only outside the U.S.
Counts: unlisted App Store pages via direct link if the install button is active; invite/waitlist flows are fine as long as the app can be downloaded.
“Social app” = an iOS application whose primary purpose is user-to-user interaction (e.g., messaging, feeds, follows/likes, group chats, content sharing, communities).
Helpful indicator (not required): primary category Social Networking.
Exclusions: single-user assistants/bots, utilities, productivity tools, news readers, dev tools, or creator apps where sharing is incidental.
“Owned by OpenAI” means the App Store developer/publisher is OpenAI or its wholly owned subsidiary. If the developer name hasn’t updated post-acquisition, official OpenAI communications or a consensus of credible reporting can establish ownership.
Ephemeral availability: If the app is installable before the deadline and later removed, it still counts if availability at/before the deadline can be evidenced.
Primary resolution source: the U.S. iOS App Store. If the listing is ambiguous/unavailable, rely on official OpenAI statements and/or a consensus of reputable outlets.
If the above condition is not met, resolve NO.
