Resolves to the user who wins FOLDED. The winner resolves YES and the losers resolve NO. If multiple users win, all winning options will resolve YES. If no one wins, (game is cancelled, etc.) all options resolve NO. Players who are eliminated will resolve NO as they are removed from the game.

Hey @koadma @Quroe @nikki @LoganTurner @retr0id @121 @SimonWestlake @andri @Kraalnaxx @bagelfan @100Anonymous @Bandors and everyone else involved in FOLDED bc I got lazy and am not gonna tag everyone.

I would like to write an article for Above the Fold on FOLDED.

I would be very grateful for everyone who feels inclined to do this but no pressure:

1) A few sentences (briefer is better but I guess if you feel like writing more that's fine) on the coolest day/feature/event/thing/happening from FOLDED. Bonus points if it's unique and not something another player would obviously submit.

2) A one sentence-ish description of what FOLDED even was! How would you describe it to someone who has no clue about any of this. Feel free to be unique in this description. Like, I'll probably aggregate a bunch of these together, so define how it felt to YOU. Was it a trading game? A hacker CTF? A niche internet micro-community? Etc.

Those 2 things are brief, should take you no more than like 5 minutes, and will help make this article very cool!

Then, if anyone feels so inclined, I would love one person to send me a little bit of narrative on what happened in FOLDED after I died, as well as how the ending unfolded (no pun intended).

Also, @Bandors if you have any stuff from your perspective as the creator, I'd love to hear it, but again, no pressure!

Also, @LoganTurner I doubt I'll be able to go through all of them, but I'd love access to your videos so I can use screenshots from them liberally in the article.

@bens I should mention, anyone is welcome to send as much other stuff as they want, too, if you feel like writing a bunch of stuff about FOLDED and sending me it for fun :)

@bens and @Bandors if you want a brief bio of you in the piece, you can send me a blurb to use for that as well!

@bens I can get back to you in a few days, I'm interested

@bens these people won't have been tagged because manifold doesn't let you tag more than 5 (I think it's 5?) people per comment

@jim oh… pain

@koadma

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

41st comment because why not

@mods The game is up!

@koadma is the winner.

The great work of resolution can commence.

im stupid

@121 I'll take this as the source truth.

@mods Nikki resolves NO

@mods SimonWestlake resolves NO

bought Ṁ147 NO

@mods @evan resolves no

@traders

I am going to extend the close dates for evan's FOLDED markets by a year to allow trading. IIUC these previously were frequently closing/reopening but that won't be able to continue, and the main impact of that is to preserve liquidity, so instead it makes sense just to extend these indefinitely. but FOLDED participants can LMK if there's something else that should be done instead.

there is 100% chance retr0id wins because average hacker who never touch grass

@121 higher probability of dying before FOLDED ends from vitamin D deficiency

@121 my limit orders are open if you'd like to bet

opened a Ṁ50 YES at 10% order

Looking to reduce my bet, so there's a nice limit order up for anyone who doesn't think koadma will win

@koadma honestly it would make the most sense for you to take this so that you're guaranteed to either make money from the market or win the game

bought Ṁ10 NO

@SimonWestlake btw, i think you are overestimating my win chances. When I bought my YES shares, I thought the game will have higher difficulty platforming with which I might have had an edge compared to others.

Without failstates I estimate that at least a Celeste/Core level difficulty would be needed for others to give up. However, the game turned out to be easy wrt platformer skills (and seems to get easier and easier, eg low hp worm even though the original was already trivial) and leans more on puzzles, and unfortunately, I'm not good at those and would have probably failed already at the playfair one without cheesing..

@koadma makes sense, but I just had way too much money in on it

@koadma ChatGPT solved it for me
