@benshindel Legal market manipulation is allowed right? I mean, just normal buying and selling that doesn't break ToS but happens to shift profits.
@Shump What's against the rules is deliberately losing a bet to someone else to increase that person's profit. Pushing markets up or down to manipulate paper profits happens at the end of leagues all the time without any objections though.
@Shump Any bet you make on public markets on your own with no collusion with other users or alts is probably fully allowed on Manifold in general.

@Eliza Yeah I was just confused by what Ben wrote about market manipulation, not sure if it means he wants to be extra strict. But now I don't know if I can do anything anyways because it seems that I exposed my plans.
@Shump Nah paper profit manipulation was always allowed and there hasn't been a serious effort to convince the admins to disallow it, as far as I'm aware (other than changing leagues to count only realised profit).
But now that you've mentioned it, you've increased the chances someone will be scouring your portfolio for mispricings near the end of leagues, so watch out!
