An election will be held in Tasmania's House of Assembly on the 23rd of March, 2024. This election will be the first since 1998 to see the five electoral divisions each elect seven members instead of five. The major parties are Liberal and Labor, with the Greens regularly receiving a few seats.
To have a majority, a party must win eighteen of the thirty-five available seats.
Market will be resolved when it is clear that a party will or will not achieve a majority. (This could happen quickly or take several days. Postal votes can arrive at the Commission any time before 10am on the 2nd of April, after which the full distribution occurs.)
