The first person is the "Neil Armstrong" of Mars: the one who steps onto the planet first, is feted as the "first" etc.

If they die on reentry to Earth, this would resolve No, right? I'm assuming they need to "set foot" on Earth after having set foot on Mars? If they die in a hospital later from complications, this would resolve Yes?

Deadline is too soon - doesn't it take at least a year to get there?
