The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) is a proposed space probe to detect and accurately measure gravitational waves. It started as a joint NASA/ESA mission, however NASA left in 2011 citing budget issues. NASA rejoined the current mission after expressing interest in 2015, but with a diminished role. The 2017 mission proposal (the current form of LISA) has been approved as one of the main ESA missions with a launch goal of 2037.

This market resolves YES if at the start of 2028 the LISA mission is still being pursued with an expected launch date of 2042 or earlier, and NASA is still contributing in some fashion. The market resolves NO if the mission is scrapped or drastically delayed (beyond 2042) at any point before January 1st 2028, OR if NASA announces it is fully withdrawing from the mission. If the mission changes name or other details change dramatically while still maintaining the primary scientific goals, this market will still refer to that mission and resolve accordingly.
