In response to Texas Republicans' redistricting efforts, California Governor Gavin Newsom has proposed a special election in November 2025 to allow voters to decide on new congressional maps. The market resolves to 'Yes' if such a ballot measure is approved by voters before 2026, and 'No' otherwise, such as if the ballot measure is not posed, or is posed and rejected.
