[If Pierre Poilievre wins a majority in the 45th Canadian federal election with the Conservative Party](https://manifold.markets/dittopoop/will-the-conservative-party-of-cana), what policies/changes/laws will be implemented within the first year?

Question will be marked as unresolved if he does not win a majority.

  • Update 2025-03-13 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): - Clarification on Leadership: If Pierre Poilievre is not in power at the time the policy is implemented, the market should be resolved as no.

    • Condition for Resolution: This applies regardless of any other factors, ensuring that actions attributed to him only count if he is the one holding power when they occur.

@Seanny123 if Mark Carney eliminates the carbon tax, and then Pierre Pollievre is elected PM, how would this resolve?

@chris the question says "what will he do" so if he isn't the one in power when it happens, then I'd resolve it "no"

@Odoacre how will I know how to resolve this?

@Seanny123 You could look at the Editorial section of The Globe And Mail, perhaps? I don't think there's a good way to figure out how to resolve this but I figure nobody can really say that your resolution was clearly wrong if it agrees with the Editorial Board of Canada's most respected newspaper.

I plan on changing the closing date for this question once the date for the election is established.
