Resolves YES if Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuela is back in effect in the United States — deportation protections and employment authorization restored through a court decision or a DHS action — at any time before January 1, 2027. Resolves NO if January 1, 2027 arrives without Venezuelan TPS having returned to effect. Context: on October 30, 2026, a Ninth Circuit panel denied the government's request to extend the stay of the ruling favorable to TPS beneficiaries; if the Supreme Court does not intervene, that ruling would take effect on November 6, 2026.
