From Free Beacon,
According to former president Barack Obama, the 2020 election is the most important of our lifetimes, a sentiment he also felt was true in 2018, 2016, 2012, and 2008.
He did not make those remarks about 2010 or 2014, when Republicans made huge gains in the midterms of his presidency.
Will Barack Obama publicly state that the 2024 presidential election is the "most important of our lifetimes" or make a statement with a very similar meaning before Election Day, November 5th, 2024?
Resolution criteria:
This question will resolve to "YES" if, before November 5th, 2024, Barack Obama:
Makes a public statement through any medium (e.g., speech, interview, social media, written publication) in which he directly states that the 2024 presidential election is the "most important of our lifetimes" or uses closely synonymous language conveying the unparalleled significance of this specific election compared to all others during either our lifetimes, or during a period unambiguously longer than 30 years.
Proof of this public statement is reported in the comment section of this Manifold question before November 5th 2024.
Additional Contextual Notes for Resolution:
Statements made in jest, sarcasm, or obviously fictional contexts (e.g., movies, novels) will not count towards resolution.
I reserve the right to use my discretion when resolving this question.
