I am a 34 year old software engineer, have worked Boeing -> Microsoft -> Amazon, and am financially comfortable for the moderate-term. Currently undecided when I will try to return to gainful employment, but it would very likely be in the tech sector.

I have moved entirely out of Seattle (where I have lived for 8 years) on 8/9/25 with a plan to drive my Tesla solo through all 48 states, spending 1-5 days in each, camping at parks, airBnBs in cities. I have finished this trek as of May 22, 2026.

But I'm still undecided where to try and put down roots.

This question asks where, on August 1, 2027, will be the closest thing I have to a permanent address.

My current international travel would get me through the end of 2026, I have no concrete plans past this point.

I will not bet in this market.
