What conspiracy theories will be proven correct by 2100. The conspiracy theory must have been true in 2024 so if the US government gets aliens after 2024 but didn't have them before it doesn't count. Please add your own conspiracy theories. I will be lenient in what is considered a conspiracy theory. If something is widely considered to be true in 2100 it will count as a yes resolution but to resolve beforehand it must be definitively proven and verified by multiple news sources. anything not proven true by 2100 will resolve no. Feel free to ask clarifying questions. In will not bet on this market in case of controversy
@Elspeth which was descended from classical Latin. Descent is transitive ("Charles III is descended from George V.").
@Elspeth it's only a conspiracy theory if it's something that currently is officially false but is secretly true and those in power are conspiring to cover it up, so it must be using the interpretation that means it's not already known to be true
@TheAllMemeingEye A lot of media sources still say she is completely biologically female, without any intersex conditions. Most notably, that is how it is written on her Wikipedia page.
@Vesperstelo Hmmm, ok I'll admit I'm not an expert so I might've been misled, I thought she had xy chromosomes but mostly female anatomy due to the y chromosome being unusually weak, this might be due to disagreement on definitions
@Vesperstelo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imane_Khelif
Khelif was born female,[5][6] and no medical evidence that she has XY chromosomes or elevated levels of testosterone has been published.[7][8][9]
hmm, I might be mistaken, would this mean that her facial structure is purely due to tail-end natural female variation then?
Imane Khelif's own trainer says "there is a problem with her hormones, her chromosomes", which would seem to suggest that she has an intersex condition (in line with the previous reports that she failed a chromosomes test).
See https://archive.ph/Nrnw0 (It's in French, unfortunately)
The IBA have also said that Khelif has XY chromosomes according to the Washington Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/olympics/2024/08/01/imane-khelif-algerian-boxer-gender-paris-olympics/ and the IBA also has a statement here https://www.iba.sport/news/iba-clarifies-the-facts-the-letter-to-the-ioc-regarding-two-ineligible-boxers-was-sent-and-acknowledged/ saying, of Khelif, "The laboratory detected results that didn’t match the eligibility criteria for IBA women’s events." and then also says that their criteria are "Definition of Women/Female/Girl = individual with chromosome XX".
@binarypigeon why does the Wikipedia page disagree? Would they likely accept an edit from you that includes this?
@BrunoParga I think we already have proof of this one? so many whistleblowers have come forward, including my own mom. (my dad still denies everything though.)
@Snarflak this one is clearly true: back in the Middle Ages nobody had ever seen this so-called "melanoma" with a microscope!
