Will anyone draw something recognizable on this market graph?

"A line" or "a random squiggle" doesn't count. Has to be something at least somewhat complicated, and I need to recognize it as clearly being a depiction of that thing without having already seen someone else describe it.

See here for inspiration.

Given the subjectivity in deciding whether something is recognizable, I won't bet in this market.

I would think it has to be on the actual graph for the year, not on a 5 minute period of it.

@AlexRockwell @IsaacKing has considered counting other zoomed-in attempts down in the comments, only discounting them because they weren't complex enough drawings (like "stairs").

@kenakofer Anyone can make something in some tiny zoomed in one minute period in he middle of the night. Ifeel like it should have to be over some actually relevant size and timeframe.
But I guess now I just regret betting on this market.

@AlexRockwell Yeah, I feel like Isaac should have clarified this particular point, and put it in the description long ago when it first came up. I think it's only clear after re-reading the 86 comment history what he's aiming for.

I don't say anywhere that it has to be visible at the maximum scale, and the example link I provided isn't, so I think it was fairly clear?

If you're not reading an 86 comment history then you're gonna miss out on clarifications. That happens on every market all the time.

@Mqrius In general I try to add any relevant clarifications to the market description precisely so that people don't have to check all the comments. In this case I don't think anybody mentioned this potentially being ambiguous until just now.

@IsaacKing The topic of zooming in definitely came up before, I commented on it months ago. I only use the site on mobile, so didn't know it was even possible to zoom.

Do you see anything inspiring around 8:45:00 am UTC, Sunday, March 12, 2023? You might have to zoom in a bit.

predictedYES

@LukeHanks Thanks Luke for finally doing the obvious thing!

predictedYES

@JimHays I didn't draw it. I think @Odoacre drew it. @omnishambles told me where to find it.

@LukeHanks How exactly do you zoom in on the graph? can't seem to figure it out on mobile or desktop

predictedYES

@DylanSlagh, on desktop I click and drag to select a region of the graph. Sometimes it doesn't work so I just reload the page.

@DylanSlagh Can’t on mobile

On desktop highlight the x region you want, y adjusts automatically

@LukeHanks Got it to work thanks, I think refreshing did it. And yes I think this should be a yes resolution it took me a couple seconds to figure out what its supposed to be but i definitely see it lmao

Hmm. Seems to be some sort of cityscape?

@IsaacKing maybe it's not so recognizable, I thought it's some sort of temple.

@IsaacKing looks like washington DC

predictedYES

@na_pewno I'm sure isaac is kidding, given that he linked to that exact doodle in the description

predictedYES

I thought this might be a fun project too

predictedYES

@IsaacKing can you please weigh in with your opinion of the hat/snake/elephant ?

@Odoacre I've read Le Petit Prince, and I still don't think I would have recognized what that was that if I hadn't been prompted.

predictedYES

@IsaacKing alright so to clarify in the future I should not post the prompt alongside?

predictedYES

@Odoacre It felt very clearly recognizeable!!!

@Odoacre Sure, that seems like a good practice.
