Resolution criteria

  • Lose popularity: Active usage of conversational LLM chatbots drops globally to negligible levels (e.g., under 5% of the online population) without a direct technological successor.

  • Yes, they will become permanent fixtures by 2030: Resolves YES if chatbot technology meets the "permanent fixture" definition consistently up to December 31, 2030.

  • Yes, they will become permanent fixtures between 2031-2050: Resolves YES if chatbot technology does not firmly establish permanence by 2030, but does so during this window.
