Isaac was an original trustworthy-ish user (the precursor to moderator), but lost his badge following the Whales v. Minnows drama in March. He was just reinstated as moderator, but has a pattern of conflict with other users. At the very least, he blocks a lot of people.
He's also the #2 market creator on the leaderboard (this was partially due to some market manipulation awhile ago, but might also be his true rank) and the creator of a popular Manifold search tool. My personal opinion is that he's added a lot of value to the Manifold community, but also a fair amount of controversy.
General policy for my markets: In the rare event of a conflict between my resolution criteria and the agreed-upon common-sense spirit of the market, I may resolve it according to the market's spirit or N/A, probably after discussion.

@Soli I was also blocked by Isaac after leaving a negative review on one of Isaac's markets. Would probably be better if Manifold reviews were not sent to those reviewed
@JohnSmithb9be you see "you can't comment on this market" when you visit a market of a person that blocked you.
@NicoDelon Can’t speak for others, but I wanted to buy YES, just not as much as I did. The new UI memed me a bit. I think the recent Isaac drama updates quite a bit to him losing his moderator badge again but not as much as this market implies.
Personal disclaimer: I am rather annoyed with him right now but overall think he’s a decent person.
@Conflux Sure, but it seems like it takes a lot to warrant removing the badge (cf. BTE or Isaac previously), and Isaac is smart enough to not mess it up in the next six months. At least not that likely to.
@NicoDelon Controversial resolution on
tthe first market linked and extra context in the second market(unless I fuck up the links lol)).
@strutheo Gonna write up a summary at some point, haven't gotten around to it yet. TLDR: I made some extremely bad bets and lost a lot of mana in one of my markets. Several people made false accusations that I was going to misresolve the market in my favor, and created a lot of drama around it. I also did some completely legal things that shouldn't have been legal, which Manifold had been warned about in the past and had chosen not to ban, even explicitly telling another user of the site that they were allowed, but I did them to a higher degree and people got mad about that too. So Manifold chose to remove my badge as punishment for being at the center of all the drama.
