Will Aubrey de Grey's 2022 Robust Mouse Rejuvenation Project "succeed" in its aims of finding an intervention that increases both mean and maximum lifespan of mice by at least 12 months?

Where RMR1 landed: 1,000 mice, treatment from 18 months, four interventions (rapamycin, senolytics, telomerase gene therapy, haematopoietic stem cell transplant); the last mouse died on 12 February 2025. LEVF's own December 2025 update says the interventions were additive but that four were insufficient to reach the 12-month target, with unexpected sex differences, and that RMR2 (at least eight interventions, with the repair treatments repeated) is likely to start its main phase around mid-2026 with significant results in 2028. For scale, 12 extra months in a 30-month strain is a 40% gain; the best replicated single-drug effect in the NIA Interventions Testing Program is 23 to 26% (rapamycin), and rapamycin plus acarbose is the only combination that has beaten rapamycin alone there. The next species up, dogs, has its first placebo-controlled lifespan trials running now; the TRIAD record with sources (mine): https://w0lph.github.io/k9/trials/triad-rapamycin.html

How will you know the answer to this in 2 days? Is it being announced somewhere?

How are you judging success?

@IsaacKing produces at least ONE mouse in any cohort that exceeds the maximum lifespan of non-genetically modified "normal" B6 mice
