The French Constitution allows the President of the Republic (currently Emmanuel Macron, could be someone else if Macron were to resign) to dissolve the National Assembly. After such dissolution has taken place, there cannot be another dissolution in the next year. Starting June 10th 2025 (or July 8th, depending on constitutional interpretation), the president will regain the right to dissolve the National Assembly.

Should it not be starting July 7, 2025? French constitution: "No further dissolution shall take place within a year following said election."

@MickBransfield It's a possibility from July 7, 2025. If you want, the question is: will Macron either inconstitutionnally dissolve before July 7, 2025 or constitutionnally dissolve between July 7 2025 and December 31st 2025, midnight, French time.

UPDATE: I understand your question. There seems to be debate on the exact date on which the President regains the right to dissolve (whether it's 1st or 2nd round). This doesn't impact the question resolution or interpretation.

My first question with « Basic » level of subsidy. Do you think Macron will try to escape the current situation in which no party has a clear majority by calling new legislative snap election in 2025 ?
