YES

For the question to be resolved as ‘YES,’ OpenAI must release a model or update their current model, with a primary focus on enhancing voice interactions. This enhancement should be considered a significant addition, meaning it introduces functionalities that substantially improve the model’s ability to understand, interpret, and respond to voice commands (or something else, could be anything substantial). While OpenAI’s models currently support voice input, the advancement required for a ‘YES’ resolution must significantly extend beyond basic voice input capabilities, demonstrating a clear leap in voice interaction technology.

@mikasa OpenAI just announced VoiceEngine, but it's not currently being released to the public. Does this meet or not meet the criteria for "release a model or update their current model with a primary focus on enhancing voice interactions?"

For your "advancement" requirement, I would argue that using a 15-second sample to generate synthetic voice is a leap in voice interaction tech.

@schlongenheim yes, I read this blog post, but I don’t believe it’s released. It seems to be more like a demo/blog. I would close the market as YES if OpenAI releases that or similar model with those capabilities to the public.
