An anime adaptation of Akasaka Aka and Yokoyari Mengo's "Oshi no Ko" manga is scheduled to premiere in April 2023, produced by studio Doga Koba.

(To any readers not familiar with the source--I recommend watching the anime, and going in completely blind! Even if the adaptation isn't absolutely incredible it's still a great story and a wild ride.)

The question is--will it be any good? The latest PV holds some promise, but it still seems plenty possible the adaptation will fall short of excellence, particularly in its direction and "degree of animatedness" (this is not a technical term).

While a strict standard for quality of direction and "animatedness" is difficult to come by, fortunately the good folks at Sakuga Blog can generally be relied upon to write about the most high profile and visually interesting productions coming our way. Just because a show has quality doesn't mean they'll cover it--they usually only pick a few shows every season--but I find they do a good job of picking well-executed shows (if not always things I personally enjoy).

This market resolves YES if at least one post is made to Sakuga Blog reflecting positively on the quality of the "Oshi no Ko" adaptation, and NO if the resolution date is reached without any such. Anticipatory content (e.g. their semi-standard "seasonals to watch out for" post) doesn't count.
