• All the gameplay mechanics (all techs, all units, all buildings, all powers, all abilities, no campaign)

• An interface that allows inputting moves and seeing the map

• Local and remote multiplayer

• All the maps in "Empire Maps", optional map generator

• Decent artificial opponent
