@Ziddletwix fwiw, musk has been interviewed a bajillion times in myriad contexts, nor is he such an unusual outlier relative to dwarkesh's other tech titan guests ("by far").
there's no one in the world who would be a satisfying answer for "by far my biggest guest yet" under conventional definitions of "biggest" (and "by far").
instead this being about dwarkesh's personal GOAT, a guy who genuinely rarely gives interviews, and who dwarkesh has said publicly for years is his #1 most desired guess—way way more satisfying answer than any of the other options imo! bad failure of the market to not weight that >5%
@Ziddletwix when i learned he was his personal goat it all finally made sense, i agree there was basically nobody other than trump and xi that would have been by far biggest yet (vs zuck) and it was very confusing
@Bayesian yeah I should be more precise and say there are a few ppl who could be a conventionally satisfying answer relative to dwarkesh’s previous guests (Trump, TSwift, the pope, a few other world leaders, a few athletes, etc?), in the sense that there’s no guest yet that is similar to them. although most of those would be much lamer answers nonetheless even if they technically satisfies the defn
