Will Equidam be the standard for Startup Valution by the end of 2023?

The early stage equity asset class clearly needs stronger standards and greater transparency - especially around valuation.

A standardised and systematic approach to valuation would be game changing for measuring fund performance, pitching to LPs, and identifying investment targets.

Equidam is the only current solution that offers a range of industry standard methods, packaged with market data, working with both founders and investors.

Could it become the industry standard by the end of 2023?

What is the justification for resolving this as yes? Any evidence of your solution being the "industry standard"?

predictedYES

@PatsoRedneb Manifold obliged me to resolve the question already, which seemed ridiculous given we are not yet at the end of 2023.

Apologies, I didn’t take it very seriously.

predictedNO

@credistick I'm in agreement with @PatsoRedneb

predictedNO

@credistick Yeah, you had the resolution date set for today, but why did you resolve this as a yes? Did Equidam became the standard for Startup Valuation already?!

@Austin I see you had an open position on this. Any thoughts?

@credistick If you had the date set incorrectly, you could have edited it instead of resolving the question, I believe.

predictedYES

@EvanDaniel I don’t remember setting a date, or being asked to set one.

predictedNO

@credistick By default, markets have a closing date of 1 month. You needed to edit it to close at the end of 2023.

predictedYES

@FlorinSays Appreciate you setting that up @FlorinSays - apologies for fudging this one.

@credistick I can re-resolve this N/A if you'd like

predictedYES

@ian Yes please! Or feel free to remove it as the other question has been created with the correct parameters - however you think works best.

Note that the market creator is head of marketing at Equidam, so there is a high risk of a bad-faith market resolution.

@TychonNotos Willing to see how it plays out - don’t have any more than my signup-credit to play with here.

predictedNO

@TychonNotos how right you were here.

Wow, trying to set my bid and another trade came in at the same time, ruining my odds. Was supposed to be at 50%.
