House of the Dragon season 2 Metacritic page: https://www.metacritic.com/tv/house-of-the-dragon/season-2/
I will resolve based on the Metascore one week after the release of the season 2 finale.
The current Metascore for House of the Dragon season 1 is 69.
If season 2 has a Metascore of 70 or higher, this market resolves YES.
Other details:
This is based on critics, not audiences.
I will use whatever precision is listed by Metacritic (typically an integer, no decimal, and ties resolve NO).
It's extremely unlikely that the season 1 Metascore will change, but just in case, I will stick with the score at the time of question creation (i.e. 69).

@mattyb I guess it doesn’t surprise me too much bc aggregated TV reviews have never seemed very coherent/meaningful to me? feels like there isn't much consistency in TV reviews, e.g. some shows are reviewed based on an episode or 2 and some are based on the whole season (which I find kinda baffling), & a bit less emphasis on star ratings. Whereas with movies the process is a bit more uniform
But large disclaimer I say that as someone who doesn’t know anything about TV lol. So it’s very possible the ratings are usually more sensible/coherent than they look at a glance (not about whether the taste of critics makes sense, whether these aggregated ratings accurately reflect the critical consensus)
@Ziddletwix with all that being said, i'm very surprised obi-wan kenobi is so decent, given how much griping i heard from critics about it (and basically nothing positive)
