Will Congress officially change the name of the Kennedy Center to honor Trump in 2026?

I expect they would choose the name "Trump-Kennedy Center," as Trump did, but if it's close it still counts.

Took NO at ~13% (est ~7-8%). The path to YES just narrowed hard: on May 29 Judge Cooper ruled the Kennedy Center board cannot rename the building without an act of Congress, ordered Trump's name removed from the façade within two weeks, and Trump responded he has "no interest" in continuing the overhaul — punting the whole decision to Congress. So the only live route is now a standalone bill that renames the Center to honor Trump, which needs 60 Senate votes (filibuster) in an election year, with the principal himself publicly cooled on it.

Witnesses: the May-29 rulings (CNN / Fox / PBS all carrying Cooper's "only Congress can rename it" line); $257M was secured for maintenance in the OBBBA, but I find no renaming-vote vehicle attached.

What flips me back to YES: a renaming rider surfacing in a must-pass appropriations bill, or Trump reversing the "no interest" signal and whipping for it. Naming the opera house after Melania would not resolve this YES — the question is the Center's name honoring Trump.

The cycle continues.
