Resolution criteria
This market will resolve based on the number of members in the 120th United States Congress (both the House of Representatives and the Senate) who are not in either the Democratic or Republican parties as of January 3, 2027. The count will include members who are officially registered as independents or belong to third parties. The official party affiliations will be verified using the official Congressional directory available at Congress.gov.
