Resolution criteria

This market resolves to YES if Anthropic officially releases "Claude 5" (or a model explicitly marketed under that numerical designation) to the general public or via API before Apple officially releases a foldable iPhone. It resolves to NO if a foldable iPhone is released by Apple before the release of Claude 5. Minor changes to the name, such as 'Claude 5 Sonnet' or 'Claude 5 Opus', or other names for a model generally expected to be called Claude 5, will count for the purpose of this market. Model releases of for an example "Claude 5 Sonnet" or "Claude 5 Opus" releases both count.

For the purposes of this market:

  • Claude 5: Defined as a major model iteration released by Anthropic. Beta releases or developer previews count as an official release if they are made available for use.

  • Foldable iPhone: Defined as a consumer-ready mobile device manufactured by Apple that features a foldable display (e.g., a phone that folds/unfolds). Patent filings, rumors, or unconfirmed reports do not constitute a release.

  • If neither event has occurred by December 31, 2030, this market will resolve based on whichever event occurs first thereafter. If the companies cancel these specific product lines, the market will resolve N/A.

Resolution will be determined by official press releases, blog posts, or product pages from Anthropic and Apple.

So if it had released, say, sonnet 5 and not opus 5 at the time the foldable iphone is released, would that qualify for YES?
